I became a Professor of Marketing & Digital Marketing after nearly 30 years of corporate experience in diverse categories, both B2B and B2C, in both young and old, multinational and Indian, professional and family run organizations.
My professorial engagements include being a Professor of Practice for MBA programs in Marketing, Digital Marketing and Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Ratan Tata Maharashtra State Skills University, Mumbai.
I continue to be deeply involved with the industry as a Fractional CMO (for a FMCG packaged foods company at present) and as a consultant, coach and mentor.
I love wearing my professorial hat and have been teaching courses and taking sessions in entrepreneurship and innovation, Marketing & Digital Marketing in various institutions including the Centre for Family Business & Entrepreneurship at SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai, Kamala Nehru College, Delhi University, and notably as a Professor of Practice at Ratan Tata Maharashtra State Skill University, Mumbai.
Besides, I mentor start-ups and founders in my own capacity and for acclaimed institutions and incubation centres that are promoting entrepreneurship.
My long corporate career and experience in mountaineering allows me to coach and mentor in a range of soft skills areas. I am also on the verge of pursuing a formal certification in coaching and/or mentoring.
I enjoy mentoring leaders with lofty goals. This may or may not be restricted to personal brand development.
As a published writer and speaker, I am a skilled communications consultant as well and undertake assignments and that includes sensitive crisis communication in which I have had significant experience.
I am often called by higher education institutions and organizations to speak on a range of subjects.
I have one foot in Mumbai and another in Gurgaon but am happy to travel anywhere to meet clients who agree to keep me well watered and fed.
So that's about me in the first person.
(I find bios in the third person to be a societal sanction of templated megalomania and an indulgence in complicated and repulsive self-projection)
